Meet the Owner:

Jonathan Osborne

Growing up with a passion for model rockets and building computers, it’s funny how things come full circle. Those childhood interests sparked a curiosity that would shape my entire career trajectory. I’d spend hours tinkering with computers and watching homemade rockets soar into the sky, never realizing how these hobbies would lay the groundwork for my future.

After studying Electronics at O.W.T.S. in Torrington, Connecticut, I dove headfirst into the field, spending nearly two decades honing my craft. This journey took me through various roles, each one adding a new layer to my expertise. But no matter where I found myself, one principle remained constant: the importance of customer service. It’s a value my Grandfather drilled into me from an early age – trust, he’d say, is the bedrock of any relationship, personal or professional.

In 2022, after a rewarding stint with Toshiba Global Commerce, I felt the itch for a new challenge. That’s when I made the leap to join a leading construction company as a Software Support Specialist. It was a bit of a left turn, but sometimes the most exciting opportunities come from unexpected places.

Working in the construction sector has been a revelation. Who knew that my childhood fascination with rockets would translate so well to overseeing multi-million dollar projects from the air? I’ve had the privilege of spearheading the setup of cutting-edge security and monitoring systems for major developments across New England. It’s exhilarating work, tracking project progression from an aerial perspective. What started as a novel approach has become an integral part of their marketing and quality control efforts.

In many ways, this role as a Drone Pilot feels like a perfect synthesis of my past experiences and passions. The technical know-how from my electronics background, the customer service ethos instilled by my Grandfather, and even that boyhood love of sending things skyward – it’s all come together in a way I never could have predicted.

As I look back on my journey, from those early days of model rockets to now piloting drones over construction sites, I can’t help but smile at the interconnectedness of it all. It just goes to show, you never know where your passions might lead you. And for me, the adventure is far from over. I’m excited to see what the next chapter brings, always keeping an eye on the horizon and my feet firmly planted in the values that have guided me this far.
